The Cyndaquil line is so dear to me, with it being my very first Pokemon. I have many fond memories of playing through Crystal with them.

How Quilava's backsprite always looked like it had floppy ears to me. How the anymation of Flamewheel lined up so perfectly with the tip of the flame on its head.

I still remember the moveset of my Thyplosion:

Flamethrower, Thunderpunch, Swift and Earthquake.

Practically solo-ing the League with him so many times, yet always watching the HP Bar of Lance's Dragonites slooowly go down to 0 with bated breath and cheering when they got oneshoted.

Today is a lil loveletter to all of this. I ended up referencing Thyplosion's sprite from Crystal for the pose.
