Decided to make designs for characters in my AU <3 Gonna be real Clutch was really hard to make cuz his design pops off so hard 😭But I wanted to see if I could make him show his age in this design :]

This is Clutch post-Clean Sweepstakes in IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog series up to Issue 76.
Due to an unknown force, Clutch was rescued from Eggman. He only vaguely remembers a warm fiery figure in his otherwise blurry vision. Since then, Clean Sweep Inc. was rebuilt and he rules it harder than before, building his own robots and having his own henchmen through Rough, Tumble, Surge, Kit and Mimic (some still through force). He dons a new suit as a start of his new era. (Left image)

He is business rivals and enemies with a fox woman named Lucia Fox, a woman who doesn't agree with Clutch's methods and aims to use her own methods with old abandoned Eggman tech. Along the way however, feelings were developed between the two. And when Eggman was involved again, Clutch made the selfless act of trying to save Lucia, donning a new scar and a blind eye. It was then revealed to him that Lucia was a mythical kitsune and that she was not even from their world. Not that it mattered to Clutch.

Since that day, he retired from the blackmarket and works alongside with Lucia at her company as her financial advisor...and later husband. (Right image)

The AU centers around the characters not as a form of redemption...but as a form of rebirth. With the title of the AU playing on the fires of rebirth like the phoenix (except y'know...kitsune.)
