Mr. Malay, also known as Honeybear and bear #03, is one of many failed experiments to keep mammals alive on a different planet than Earth. In cryosleep, he dreamed of live on said planet, desprately awaiding the day he could roam free. But it seemingly never came. When he had crashed back down to earth, he went scouring and searching, finding Alterna in the process. He stumbled upon human tech and used that to his advantage. While being a regular bear, he was more advanced in his thinking, even to the point of being able to learn whole new languages. After discovering the crystals that line the Alternian walls, he stored some of them away for himself. He did countless studies and expriments on these crystals, and what would in turn become fuzzy ooze. He learned common inkling language and went under the radar to Inkopolis as the boss of Helarco Industries. His diet includes salmon, salmonids, power and golden eggs, and occasionally inklings and octolings. Yes, he eats some of his employees. His hobbies include woodcarving and being a huge asshole to said employees. He's a big hugable teddy bear if you can get past the whole... eating people thing.
