G.U.N’s attempt at making their own Ultimate Lifeform by taking some of Shadow’s DNA, but once they realised it was more Black Arms than hedgehog they scrapped the project and put Surrender under ice. Shadow later discovered it and busted it out, and Surrender was raised by the gang once they discovered it, too (which probably was a blessing in disguise as Surrender now has a sense of humour and social skills)

Surrender suffers from resting-Shadow-face but is actually quite chipper once you actually start talking to it. It possesses a lot of the Black Arms abilities, but generally would just want to hang out at home and eat Doritos

It meets Wolf-Rayet at the Extreme Gear races, where it likes to take out its competitive streak
