I really like looking at other people's profiles and decorating my own to match whatever character I'm making my profile picture at the time, along with my comment signature :D The way you can change the colors, cursor, roundness of the profile blocks, and add images to the pin board block is really cool
also i love the Charkis plush sitting in the corner i added. look at 'em. it's like they're watching my profile too lol
(Spoilers for the ending and various post-game stuff! Obviously!)
I can finally remove "pokemonlegendsza" from my blocked tags! Yippee! I actually finished it a few days ago, but still! I think I finished it, at least?
Anyways, I completed the main story (i think) and caught Zygarde with my team consisting of:
- Todo the Feraligatr, my starter
- Misty the Delphox
- Knight Slash the Aegislash
- Kookie the Alpha Krookodile
- Madam the Chestnaught
- And Princess the Gardevoir, who was a pre-order gift Ralts :D
I love this game! I'm really glad Zygarde got its time to shine even though I wish there were a little more scenes with it ^^
I WASN'T EXPECTING AZ TO FUCKING DIE AND ZYGARDE TO GET A MASSIVE CANNON IN ITS MEGA EVOLUTION THOUGH WHAAAT?????? I ALSO WASN'T EXPECTING ZYGARDE TO GET A MEGA EVOLUTION IN THE FIRST PLACE
Ahem yeah THAT PART OF THE GAME WAS CRAZZYY
I also caught some Shiny Pokémon! One was a Mareep (that's now an Ampharos named Shiny) you can get in a side mission, but I also caught a Shiny Kadabra as I was running away from a bunch of other Pokémon lol! I named her ★Star☆
After completing the main story and unlocking the 20th Wild Zone, I was walking around to train up a low-level Pokémon in my party for it to evolve, only to encounter a Shiny Hippowdon, too! I named her Green 'cause I didn't have a better idea lol
Before catching Green however, I actually failed to catch a Shiny Fletchling just a day or two ago :,) Since I was running around in the city, it must've flown away and disappeared before I could save my game and try to catch it OOF
Buuuuuut, just a few days after catching Green, I actually managed to find another Shiny Fletchling in the city and could luckily catch it and name it Firecracker this time ^^ I don't like how city Pokémon that can easily run away aren't Shiny-locked, but still ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I also found a Shiny Aggron in the 20th Wild Zone as I was leveling up Firecracker! I named him Diamond
Later that day, I found a Shiny Houndour as I was exploring Lysandre Labs for a Beldum :D Haven't given her a name yet tho
I also caught Diancie but it was kind of underwhelming unfortunately :/ Since Diancie is a Mythical gemstone Pokémon, I was expecting to be exploring a massive, deep cave possibly outside of Lumiose filled with gemstones and Carbink and such, similarly to Area Zero in Pokémon Violet. Instead, it was just a battle on the roof of a building with a bunch of Mega Crystals so that's ;-; Hopefully Hoopa gets better treatment in the DLC tho lol
Another thing I don't like about this game is the large focus on Pokémon battles, TBH. Don't get me wrong, I completely get why Pokémon battles are popular and I also like battling Pokémon, but I kind of wish it wasn't such a big focus as it is
I honestly love Jacinthe's design so much, but MAAN did I not like her (and still don't lol) (┬┬﹏┬┬) She was so obsessed with me coming to her tournament and stuff that not only did she show up to a Team MZ group meeting completely uninvited just to push it further, but she even made it impossible for me and the rest of Team MZ to even LEAVE an area just so we could battle Lebanne like??? Ma'am we're like 15 leave us alone 😭😭 I already didn't like Nemona at all in Violet due to her loving battles so much, so this was awful lmao
Another thing is the Infinite Z-A Royale T_T I get why it exists since we can't just throw an entire mechanic away all of a sudden lol but why do I need 50,000 points in order to get a Challenger's Ticket to enter it every single time?!?! Battling trainers over and over again starts to get incredibly boring after a while so I just stopped doing the infinite stuff at like 6 wins 'cause like 😭
There also seems to be a lot of side missions involving battling too, whether it be battling while only using one Pokémon, battling using only a specific type, etc. Another thing I don't want to do because I don't care for battling this muuuuuucccchhhh T^T
Also, not battle specific, but I really dislike how trade evolutions are in this game despite being completely absent in Legends: Arceus. I really wanted to have a Slurpuff but got confused when I couldn't evolve Swirlix normally, so I looked it up and was so disappointed the Linking Cord wasn't even here like .·´¯(>▂<)´¯·. Mannn I don't have anyone to trade with and Pokémon Home support for Legends: Z-A isn't here yet
Like I said before, I still love this game, but I just wish certain things were better lol. I actually haven't completed the Pokédex or tried seeing what happens when I try to leave Lumiose yet, so maybe those'll be interesting ¯_(ツ)_/¯
oh yeah and also there's an NPC in this game that says "yeet" so 0/10 game actually /J
(Nothing gets spoiled here, promise! Also, I've completed Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Violet and its DLC's but I'm only on the 26th main mission in Legends: Z-A right now, so no spoilers!)
Does anyone else love making up personalities for their Pokémon? Been doing since I got my first Pokémon game (Ultra Sun) because I thought it was cool and I loved how Pokémon interacted with each other and did things in the anime.
I know natures already exist (moody, adamant, quirky, etc.) along with short text descriptions (it loves to run, takes plenty of siestas, etc.), but it's fun to think of more aspects to their personalities, and I think Sword/Shield's camp feature really helped with that lol
One of the personalities I thought of is the Tsareena on my team in Violet. I imagine her to be sassy, attention loving, and best friends with the Palafin I got from an event. Why? For the sassy part, it's mostly due to her design and animations. She's also usually always around me, even when I'm doing things with other Pokémon, and even stood in front of the Dragonite on my team while I was washing it one time lmao. She also really likes being around Palafin whenever I have her for a picnic and stuff. They're both usually laughing or playing around with each other or annoying Miraidon at the same time lol
Speaking of which, Palafin seems to like annoying Miraidon a lot lol. I don't know the exact reason why, but whenever they're around, Palafin is either doing one of her animations at it (usually the one where she screams into the air lol) or doing something stupid on purpose, like running into the table to make it pay attention to her maybe? It reminds me of the personality I gave to a Floatzel (nicknamed Floaty) and Medicham in Ultra Sun, where Medicham would just want to be left alone to meditate and stuff while Floaty would never want to stop bothering him just to see his reactions lol
There was this one time when I threw a ball during a picnic and when Miraidon got to it, it made a very weak hit with it, causing Tsareena and Palafin to laugh at it. Later, it had the ball again and actually hit it further, only for Tsareena and Palafin to not react and turn away, as if to say "didn't see it so it doesn't count" LMAO
My starter, Quaquaval, also likes me a lot! (^▽^) He's pretty much almost always around me, usually to show off or something, when he's not asleep lol (he falls asleep a lot during picnics). One time he came up to me, (seemingly) hugged me, and then fell asleep there and I 🥺
He also seems to be good friends with Mimikyu and Tsareena (despite her Violet dex entry¯_(ツ)_/¯), though Mimikyu's around him more often. He doesn't really interact with Dragonite or Salazzle much, which is unfortunate :(
As for Legends: Z-A, I thought of the Chesnaught on my team (nicknamed Madam) being very destructive in battles but normally calm when just walking around or being brought out to relax near a bench. She's pretty shy, actually, preferring to sit away from everyone else and do her own things. Everyone seems to respect her boundaries and usually only stay at a distance from her, so that's nice :D
The alpha Krookodile I caught (nicknamed Kookie (like "cookie" but with a K)) is very interesting lol. Pretty much every Pokédex entry of Krookodile describe them to not only be good at hiding itself from their prey, but also being very violent and aggressive. Two entries even say that they literally rip their prey in half O_O While the aggressive part might be true for the most part, Kookie is kinda dumb actually lol
I get that she's an alpha, so she'll have a harder time walking in small spaces and stuff, but when I'm walking with her, she usually keeps running into objects or sometimes gets stuck in some sort of way lol. Also, when inside a battle zone, she doesn't really try hiding from other trainers or anything, usually standing out in the open (one time she literally ran up to a trainer and then back to me several times (I didn't even ask her to attack any Pokémon yet 💀))
Despite her wanting to seem tough and being pretty odd, she's pretty chill, honestly. Whenever she's out to hang with my other Pokémon, she's almost always stays by Feraligatr's (nicknamed Todo) side. She usually sits or sleeps right next to him and every time it happens I just 🥺🥺🥺 Todo is also a little like Kookie. Very tough exterior and great in battles, but big softie when with me or the other Pokémon on my team lol
Aegislash (nicknamed Knight Slash) is almost always pretty serious but knows when to tone herself down. She's usually floating above everyone else when hanging out, either to say that she's the most important or that she'll literally watch over them all or something, since her species worked with kings in the past (or something more sinister because the dex entries...)
To talk a little about Ultra Sun, I've already mentioned Floaty and Medicham, but I also wanted to mention another similar personality with Lopunny. I originally only caught him as a Buneary just to fill up my Pokédex and stuff but grew attached to him and decided to keep him on the team!
I also imagine him to be pretty silly at times, mostly due to Lopunny looking so dopey when in the Pokémon Refresh thing lol (literally no thoughts, head empty). He's still very sweet even if he's spacing out like half of the time 💞
Oh wow this was a lot lol but yeah! Anyone else love thinking of personalities for their Pokémon, whether big or small?
And also, would anyone believe me when I say that because of this, I've been working on a Pokémon story for like almost six or seven years by now........?
