Ahem, yes-- I did make a Kinokobito for the hell-of-it. Yes, I know they're seen once and never again and that it's a spoiler. I just like funny mushroom-people, lemme have this!
And what perfect way to introduce them too, in a group-picture doing what they do best! No they're NOT the head chef of the Sunacho. For good reason.
You see... this here is Chantz, and they have.... a unique way of doing things. They actually stowed away onboard the ship, and was found merely days later after nightfall, when their glowing exposed their hiding place. No one really questioned this, and since then he's been working in the kitchen under.. whoever-the-hell-is-the-chef!
Wait, where was I?? Ah yes. Uh, his affinity for making strange, experimental dishes. The palate they use is.. daring, and not in the best of ways, often making other crew members feel ill after having tasted one of their dishes! They're not one for critique, either, as it's their own way of cooking and they don't like being told how they SHOULD make something.... at all.
...That's not to suggest that they're wholly incapable of making good or even great dishes, though, as not only are they capable of doing so once in a while, but they can follow instruction extremely well under someone else. Besides... that's not his dish, that's said other chef's dish and he's helping them! There's a distinction!
Chantz' inspiration even down to name is both the Chanterelle Mushroom (ISN'T), as well as the Eastern Jack-O'-Lantern (IS). The idea of a mushroom-chef being deceptive in terms of the food they serve struck me hilarious!
...Did I mention they have a crush on Rose?
Rognar (leg) belongs to @Zorek
Onewa, Rosewick, Bisque, Punchii, and Chantz belong to me
