every spring i discover anew how it feels to be warm and what things are supposed to smell like. winter makes everything so dull, no wonder january and february are an unending pit of despair. i am so glad it is warm enough now that i can wear less clothes and crack my window open, feel the breeze from my ceiling fan on my bare skin. ofc my allergies are getting worse but honestly theyre present all year round so idec. whatever
oh also i have a job interview tomorrow! and it is over a phone call which is interesting

gonna have to say original because I LOVE MY OCS and they r my LIFEBLOOD but really the answer is whoever i am rotating in my head!! whatever i feel feverish artistic passion for!!! which is often fanart
Original fiction OR fanfiction?
fanfiction, i love the character analysis you can do and like. just forcing my favs into a Scenario. so fun!!!!! i also prefer reading it i love seeing different peoples differing interpretations of the characters. some fics truly make me insane!!! original fiction is far less likely to hold such power over me, though i do love it as well (whenever i manage to make myself read it - its hard to convince myself to get immersed in a world i dont already know, it can be overwhelming!). the only original stuff i really write at present is oc drabbles and stuff in preparation for their eventual comics
Sketch OR lineart?
sketch. all the way. i dont ever do lineart because i FUCKING HATE LINEART!!!! yea thats right!! all my recent art, except a select few from about a year ago, have only a CLEAN SKETCH. lineart hurts my poor arthritic hands and my soul. and it takes FOREVER
Coloring OR shading?
ah idrk!!! maybe coloring just bc i often do it without shading. shading is an extra step that gives my art a lot more depth, but its not necessary a lot of the time and i think my art looks good without it!! especially now that ive figured out some better coloring techniques (which you will see whenever i am done posting stuff to my alt account...)
Handwritten signature OR text signature?
i never sign my art lol but when i do, definitely HANDWRITTEN!!
Shrink canvas OR add a filter before posting?
i prefer to do neither!!!! but toyhouse's miserable file size pittance forces me to size down my art to the point of ruining the quality.... so i just save that version in a different folder!! i do sometimes add a noise filter if i think itll look good (but that increases the file size even MORE). erm ig my choice is "size down" then just bc i do it more often
Messy art OR clean art?
clean actually!! i think the more i clean up my art, the better it looks!! but adhd forces me to leave things messy if i want to finish them sometimes. messy art at least tends to have more of a flow to it!
Bright colors OR muted colors?
muted! if the colors dont smoosh together nicely my astigmatic eyes skip all over the place. i guess they do that anyways but it makes it a little better (plus i like fucking around with my colors lol it looks so cool!)
Warm colors OR cold colors?
i prefer COOL COLORS but i seem to also prefer WARM TONES!! my favorite colors are purple, blue, and green but my art does always seem to have a nice warm glow to it. im ngl its barely a conscious choice!
Graphics tablet with screen OR no screen?
NO SCREEN!!! screen tablets complicate things. the color profile is different and you have to adjust to your whole freaking computer being on a weird little screen with different controls. i love my screenless tablet!!! it does put my computer a bit far away from my eyes but thats ok. anything for my huion h610 pro v2 <333 (my v1 pen broke and my mom's v2 pen didnt work on it so she just gave me the whole tablet. lost a real one </3)

Fur OR scales?
fur!! i love snakes and dragons and drawing scales can be fun but i draw fur so much more often. its less tedious and you can style it so many ways!!
Edgy characters OR wholesome characters?
edgy ig... both of these sound kinda flat but i do prefer my characters a bit tortured 🤭
High-poly models OR low-poly models?
erm idrk..! anything that looks nice without being ridiculously high poly ig lolll
Music OR podcasts while drawing?
music!!! sometimes youtube videos. podcasts are boring. i love music!!!!!!
