so i finally decided i unfortunately had to remove layla's hijab bc i realized her relationship to islam tying back to her abusive dad wasnt really very sensitive :( im gonna try to add a different hijabi character back to the story when i can but for now heres some hairstyle concepts for layla! since the story takes place sometime between 2012 and 2018 and layla is still hanging onto the remains of early 2000s emo culture i thought that a single dyed hair extension (the one on the side of her face) would fit well? the rest of her hair is long and straight and boring, borrowing inspiration from both her very first design AND my hairstyle when i was her age, since she was originally based on myself when i was a teenager
