Frisk used to live in a very normal world much like our own, till a mysterious, snake-like plant appeared before her, seeking her aid in changing another realm's fate. This plant-like creature called itself Flora, coming from a realm called Valgustra that needed a particularly determined soul to help save its future from prophesized destruction. Brought into a parallel universe, Frisk was introduced to white haired boy who bared goat-like ears and horns. Introduced by the name of Asrial, these two to-be heroes would take on a journey as a pair of Monster Hunters to help Asriel discover who he is and what his role in this world is supposed to be.

The lands of Valgustra are filled with massive and dangerous monsters, leaving the heroes in need of weapons and armor made from the monsters they bring down and learning to use arcane that flows freely across the lands to take on dangerous fights and challenges. The team of two would have to learn and grow stronger in their journey across the lands of Valgustra, their starting point and home town, being Snowdin...
