[Music inspiration: Where No One Goes (Reprise) by Jónsi]

I feel like it is fairly common for people to assume that my work is inspired by the How to Train Your Dragon movie series.

And I do get it! The things I enjoy, the themes I put in my stories, a lot of them share strong similarities with those that How to Train Your Dragon features. But here is a big but.
I liked these things before I liked How to Train Your Dragon.

My comic Storm Rider, the story and the universe, had been in the works in my brain...well, many years (since 2008) before I even saw the first How to Train Your Dragon movie (around 2013, I think) — and I didn't initially even like the movie that much! It only grew on me after the second movie completely changed my view in July 2014 in the theaters.

I also just consume a lot of media that feature the kind of themes I like. You know, aviation, giant (flying) creatures and the bond between humans and those creatures.
(if there anything you know that has those things, feel free to leave me recommendations!)
