[Music inspiration: Across the Sea by Goro Ohmi (Ginga Nagareboshi Gin)]

This was the first painting I did after spending about a week sick with Covid in April.

While I was stuck in the bed with a fever, for some reason I wanted to watch some episodes from one of my favorite childhood shows, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (also known as Silver Fang) again. While I've been a big Ginga fan for almost 20 years straight now, the anime version of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is something I very rarely return to nowadays.

This might surprise some of you who are a bit more new around here, but Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was the very thing that inspired me to start making art in the first place. So rewatching some of the anime felt like returning to my roots, in a way.

What I am going with this is that reminiscing about this show also reminded me of this dormant story project I had when I still a bit more actively into the Ginga series. This dog character is not something I bring back often, but now it just felt right to draw her again.
