Hello! I just wanted to write a journal entry as an introduction, mostly so that my profile doesn't feel so empty whilst I decide which pieces of art of mine I want to upload here (other than my more recent ones!)

So, my name is Butterfly, I've been drawing for quite sometime now, and as my profile says I’m an self-taught artist who draws mostly stylized art (or to be less non-fancy I tend to make art based that is more cartoon-y or Japanese anime/manga) as a hobby. I tend to draw a lot of fanart for series that I like, my ocs/fcs and some original art here and there when inspiration strikes.

I also love making pixel art, 3d models and the odd handmade crafts as well (dolls, sewing), alongside writing stories as well.

I actually took a little bit of a hiatus from the internet and art in general for a couple of years, so I'm still trying to get back into the groove of both. Also to avoid a bit of confusion, for a few years I decided to create a new alias on deviantART called 'cakeyrin' from my original one 'yesbutterfly', but now that its 2024 I've decided to go back to my original alias. If you would like to check this out feel free to contact me on my other accounts... Although I'll probably be leaving deviantART anyway due to the notifications centre being broken for me. ugh.

My interests outside of art mostly focus on video games (Super Mario, Kirby, Tales of, Mana series, Breath of Fire, Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon...and a whole load of others - I'll make a full list avaliable somewhere! LOL), alongside the occassional anime/manga (Fullmetal Alchemist, Tokyo Mew Mew, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura) and a bunch of books/movies that range from fantasy, action/adventure, historical and horror....because some of these things aren't like the other kinda thing!

As for joining Sheezy.art, I was actually going to join this website on the very same day it was initally closed years ago! In fact I think it was a case of the website existed one moment and a couple of hours later it was gone. Talk about bad timing, huh? Anyway, I'm glad that its back, it looked promising then as it still does now, so I can't wait to start using it :) Oh, and if I mess up somewhere with tags or something, please don't hesitate to inform me.
