Thank you for reading this, gao! (Maybe I should've made my username "YumekoGao" instead.. Gao indeed.)
i'm not moving accounts or anything because i just started using this platform.
i'm wondering what will be my next obsession, and what will the world around me create now?
i can't run away from the fact that i'm getting older (currently 20 years old right now), and so is a lot of the media i tend to enjoy.
i always loved things that coincidentally came out around the time i was just a child, and even before then. that has my heart the most.
i know that just because something is getting older doesn't mean you can't still continue to enjoy it but.. i'm having problems with my 3ds xl's sd card, and there's a chance i might have to replace it. i don't have the means to right now, especially because i can barely back it up as of now and i never seen it outside of the console. :c
so there's that. for a long time i always tried my best to share my interests with the people closest to me, but they always tend to say, "what, that's so old". i notice that there's a resurgence of the 2000's tinged things coming back, and it feels uncomfortable because those same people who would've criticized something for their age is now probably making fake vocaloid lost media from the same era or something.. it's true, you know.
i will always stay true to my interests even if others have ulterior motives when engaging with the same thing.. like trying to talk about my favorite thing on youtube to get popular and only have a shallow understanding of it.
the empty vessels honestly make the loudest of noise, if that's how the quote goes.
i think i am waiting for the world to come out with something that i genuinely really like, because there's no harm in being a supporter.
times have changed, i can't just switch on my cable box and watch whatever dated yet golden cartoon that was released a while ago on archival channels (boomerang) or their original channel (cartoon network/disney/nick). i'm sorry but cartoon network going forward from 2013 was very disappointing to me.
don't get me started on how weird teen titans go is to me, and how disheartening powerpuff girls 2016 is to me either. i also feel uncomfortable how nickelodeon is still airing spongebob despite the creator of it passing away, and making it have a completely different identity than how it used to have instead of trying to move on and create more innovative ideas.
i think that's all i have to say for now.
