It's been months since Magoma's blood and fur was found staining the grass at the border, and every day Oyana misses him deeply, feeling a mix of grief, and a deep, pulsing... Helpless rage. They claimed it must have been lions, but she doesn't believe that for a second. But there is nothing she can do- an act of vengeance is a death sentence, not just for her, but her 3 month old cub. The last remnants of her lost love, Kanai is the thing most precious to her in this world, but a bittersweet reminder nonetheless. She reminds her of him more every day.

Kanai never got to meet her father, and in these rare moments when her mother's grief spills over, impossible to hide, she can only trail helplessly, wishing she could heal a hurt she doesn't understand.

On nights like this, Oyana could swear she can feel him nearby.

I actually started this in may, but experienced so many issues with the art quality that I stopped working on it for over a month. But it's 4 am- the best time to finish old projects, and to write overly emotional descriptions for your art.
