Quite an older piece with this one but I this is a piece I'm still quite fond of.
This was concept work for a friend's personal race called the Hikari, a race of Phoenixes for a book he is writing. This particular one is an important side character in his story.
I always enjoyed the color and feel of this piece despite being simple concept art and I hope you do as well!
