Sometimes I poke about the African felids article on wikipedia to go "ooh what sort of cats could be incorporated into the gay lions comic setting?". This is an African wildcat, felis lybica, which looks an awful lot like a tabby cat. There's no real naming scheme for them that I know of so to change things up and in line with them being solitary I decided they let their kids name themselves for the sake of cultivating independence when they set off. (Which can lead to very silly names when you let a child name themselves)

Also if you want to use that idea then go ahead lol, pretty much just referenced an African wild cat and simplified down for the colours and IHopeSo eye style.
