Don't have to.5.Have fun! image 1. What is your real name and nickname? "Hello there! Huh, my name? It's Djala Raskashene. My name is a nickname in itself, sort of.It's from a world called Shareen, where some people called likans, have this word and it means "cutie."My mother Ras Ka, really likes other cultures, and this interest rubbed off on me as well. So while my father wanted a traditional azabu name, my mother won. Thank you mother!" image 2. What's your current age? "I'm 24 springs old! I was born in Halm(March) on the 16th! The months name means peaceful blossoms in zabu, which is the language I speak." 3. What's your favorite food? "I have many favourite foods. I usually like sweets more than savoury dishes, but I'm always open for trying new foods. Hm, maybe that's why I have so many favourites?Anyway, I think I should pick one! I pick... Hmmm.... The new years dish, baked Tja Ner buns!!It's the last dish served for the new years celebration, on the 16th day which is also my birthday, heh!The name means "mirthful star" and the buns have a sort of stylized star shape to them. They have fruits baked into them, and these spicy seeds that you put on top before baking them. So its spicy, but sweet inside." image 4. And your favorite drink? "Guilty, I confess that I like suuka drinks a lot. They're hot sweet drinks, served with a few sour sticks of candy. It's a fun mix!" 5. Confession time! Do you have a crush, a lover? Who is it? "I don't have one! Haha! Maybe that sounds strange, but I travel a lot, so it would be hard to maintain such a relationship. But I love making friends, especially with people from the other worlds!" 6. Have you kissed anyone yet? "Yes. I have. It wasn't very special. I was 8, and it was a dare from my sibling to kiss a friend of theirs. Oh wait you're not asking about my first kiss??? Ummm!Honestly, I prefer kissing now that I'm an adult. There's a lot more excitement to it now. " 7. What about your childhood sweetheart? "I don't have one.I had lots of friends, but I didn't have crushes until I was like 18 summers old. But... I never acted on any of them. I was too shy! Can you imagine! Me, shy?? HAH!" 8. Who's your favorite author? "Easy! Lo Huan! She did a lot of important work, but also because... She made the characters of our alphabet, so every time I read something, I'm kind of reading her stuff! She's also credited with naming our months." 9. Now, what's your biggest fear? "Being attacked while out traveling in some other world.Normally, I am assigned guides, or escorts. But there was this one time, when we heard weird sounds from a forest we were supposed to travel through. But luckily the guide decided we should take a different route! Phew!" 10. Any siblings? "I have lots!My family is pretty big, and I have three siblings. That's a lot, for an azabu family. There's my oldest sister, Mio Am, who is 31 winters old. Her name means docile smile, because she's always so calm. She's a librarian! My younger brother, Ru Oed, who is 16 autumns old now. His name means creative word, and it's his second name that he got after he wrote some very 'creative' plays that his school likes to put up. My youngest sibling, To Chid, who is only 3 summers old! They're so cute! I should draw you a picture sometime! Their name means surprised friend, because when they arrived, they looked at everything with these huge eyes. So cute!! <3 imageYes, as you may have guessed, my father named the rest of my siblings." 11. Almost done, it's only twenty questions. Who's your hero? "I would have to answer that the Liva Aonde is. Her name is Nenua Dalinshene. She's the one who is currently keeping our world turning, so to speak. She has more of a spiritual presence, though we can go meet her in person, if her schedule allows for it.The Liva Aonde is not head of state, but more of an advisor who the ministers look to for input. We used to have rulers, but after Nenua's parent came home and there was a lot of political shake ups, the Liva Aonde decreed that her family should have no direct hand in politics, given the strong powers they command. She thought absolute power would eventually corrupt whichever of them held that power." 12. OK, who's your worst enemy? "Hm, I don't think I have one.I know that I have annoyed some people, because not everyone likes cheerful people all the time, but I haven't met any, yet, that I find to be a brute." 13. Huh, alright. Now who's your best friend? "You're asking so many tough questions!Like I said before, I make lots of friends. So really, it's hard to single out one as my best friend. I really like the raidjem that I'm travelling with right now, but I don't know if it's mutual. Like... do they like me for me or just because I feed them?" 14. Interesting... What would you do if you met your creator? "I'd thank them very respectfully for allowing me this life that I'm currently enjoying." 15. Now, what do/did you want to be when you grow up? "Wait, I thought I was grown up?Well, as a child, I wanted to grow up to be a guard, a doctor, and a librarian. But as I grew up more, my mother told me so much about these other worlds, and I just KNEW that I had to go see them. Hence why I made up a profession! Culture Exchange!" 16. What's your worst nightmare? "Is this related to biggest fear or?I think the worst nightmare I ever had was when I was finally meeting the people of this other world. Only to then lose my teeth and piss myself. AUGH! Even thinking about it makes me squirm! I don't like bad dreams!" 17. What's your lifelong dream? "To have everyone know a little bit about each others culture!I wonder if people would fight less if they understood each other more..." 18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true? "I'd arrange a HUGE party, and invite all the people that I had met on my journeys!!" 19. OK, where's your favorite place to relax? "Anywhere that there's a chance for a sweet snack, and some sunshine!" 20. Last question! What do you do most of the time? "I study cultures. I travel around with my living memory and my raidjem. We meet with people, tell them a bit about my own culture, and listen to theirs. Then after 2 weeks, I travel home to Zabunux and tell the people there about what I've learned. I see this was the last question!Thank you so much for your interest, and for letting me ramble on. I'll see myself back to my duties. May your path be bright!" imageAt the Lover's Festival by @meakimonNourkash - Zabunux fauna by @meakimonYour Nature is Now by @nollthereSnunuu dance by @meakimongifRaidjem breeds by @meakimonDinner Time by @meakimonDinner TimeDinner time image "Easy there, no need to push me around." Frore huffed jovially at her raidjem.Stomping its paws in the accumulating snow, Saia shook its wings impatiently. There was a look of glee in its blue eyes, that brought out a smile on its rider's lips. Frore walked from the small shed, which sat in the enclosed backyard connected to her family's house. She had just let out the massive creature and watched as it stretched out it's large purple wings.Saia was a raidjem in the prime of its life. It took a moment to bask in the fresh powder snow that was blanketing the ground. Pawing at it and disturbing it up into a flurry by batting its wings. Frore watched her mount for a moment, then turned and crossed the short distance to the back wall of their house. There, mounted on the wall, firmly locked, was a locker. Her Tavas Ipane had constructed it for her, for a singular purpose. Next to it, hung a thick leather mitten. Picking up the mitten, the tall tzabu banged on the small iron door, dislodging any new ice that had grown since last she opened it. That would be yesterday.Feeding Saia was a daily routine. A thin pane of ice cracked and fell off. Being a raidjem, Saia did not consume nutrients the same way other critters did. Their way of feeding was to live off of magical energy which lingered around certain flora, or gzabus, short for Guardian zabus. Which occurred naturally in nature as raidjem naturally gravitated towards sources of magic. They would metaphorically lap up excess energy. Gzabus also fed their raidjem mounts simply by riding around on them, as just being in close proximity was enough for raidjems to feed. However, since the cold dark areas of Sorzvare was pretty devoid of such magical abundance in form of flora and gzabus, Frore had to get it from the only source they had. Her workplace, the Mineral Well. In it's dark waters, along the walls meticulously scraped by people now long gone, where rocks. They were the energy source for the Traverse Gates, which before the wars, were a means of instant travel between continents. Now, most of them were hidden away, deactivated from fear that enemy armies would one day come through them and into the heart of fortified cities. It was too big of a risk. But the wells which supplied the rocks, where still out there, in countless places. Some known, others unknown. It was part of Frore's job as a Well knight to watch over and make certain no one came and took the precious resource. She, along with others, spent long dull nights on the walls surrounding the well. It had been on one such night that she had noticed something in the distance. Curious, she had sounded the alarm, in the event it was enemies coming to steal from them. But what she had found in the deep snow that night hadn't been a scout, or even a zabu at all. It was a raidjem. Judging from it's ragged breath and ruffled feathers, Frore had come to the conclusion that the beast had gotten into trouble. Maybe hunters, more likely a predator. Raidjems were considered good animals, faithful and hardworking. They had been easily domesticated after the earliest gzabu found that they hungered for what they had. Magic. Telling her fellow knights what she found, they banded together to bring the exhausted animal back to the pond, one of them keeping a keen eye on their surroundings. Luckily, it hadn't been a distraction. It was just a beat up animal, as terrible as that may sound. Begging her superior, Ceslen, if she could take a rock from the well, Frore carefully nursed the beast back. She had named it Saia, after the snowy night in which they found it. Bringing herself back to the present, she fished out a heavy iron key to open the locker. Gingerly, she picked up the glowing rock within. Behind her, Saia was excitedly jumping up and down, melodious chirps and whistling sounds emitting from her very being. Whistling back to her, Frore calmed her mount enough to hold the rock close to its head. The mitten was more than just to open the icy locker. The rock was dangerous for her to touch with her bare hand. As only a tzabu, she didn't possess any trace of magic in her veins. No hidden ancestral magic either. Which was a small source of frustration that Frore rarely allowed to show. As she watched the blissful silence that came over the Saia, she let her mind wander. To what this place would look like, once the new Liva Aonde was born. She had never seen spring. It was always so bitterly cold here. Normally, the smaller territories would have their own gzabu, to help change the local seasons. But theirs had vanished before Frore had seen the light of day. As a result, they were stuck in this perpetual winter. When she had been young, Frore had wished to have been born a gzabu. She would have done her best to benefit her home. When she had expressed this to her mothers, they had hushed her, told her to keep that thought to herself. It had left her confused. Her mothers were usually so supportive of all her strange ideas, since she rarely acted on them. An inquisitive note from Saia brought her back to the present. The raidjem's wings had drooped to signal that it was full. Frore removed the stone and gave the beast a good scratching under it's chin. Placing the glowing stone back, the tzabu wondered briefly if it was true that the Liva Aonde Nenua would come to her territory on her next tour. She locked the the little door tightly. If it was true, then she might be able to experience spring. Not just that, but as a Well knight, Frore would perhaps be close enough to ask the Liva Aonde for aid in addressing the lack of a local gzabu.Stifling a yawn, she waved all her plans to a corner at the back of her mind. Time for sleep. Turning, she gestured for Saia to return to the shed, or stable. Whichever was suitable for the small bricked building she had erected on her own. It was a bit loop-sided, but sturdy. The roof was covered in thick straw, but not so thick Saia wouldn't be able to break out, should the situation call for it. Putting the latch on the door, Frore listened to the raidjem settle down inside, no doubt stretching its forelegs and folding its wings to get comfortable. She muttered a 'sweet dreams' and then walked back towards the house, entering first in through her Tavas' forge. The warmth was very welcome.Smash Mouth, eat the eggs by @nocapsflasharctic eggs by @neurotoxicityNest Worth by @YamaDoraThe cockatrice in monster high by @H0ppin_H00liganRuby by @maudfsSunny-side-up by @AcrylliaEgg Yolk Angels by @TinyLittleCherubZabu formal fashion with notes by @meakimonZabu winter fashion with notes by @meakimon
