To give a frame of reference, it has been more than a decade since the last time I drew the main image of this goth mermaid. And in that time, so much has changed for me, but she is one of the few that have been covered in dust. To work on her was rather nice and and to officially give her an update. I wanted to add jewelry to her attire given her enjoyment of exploring and taking from shipwrecks. There's also this maturity to her that I enjoyed adding to the character. It's important to bring back characters and give then a new coat of paint.
