At the time of creating this, Claudia was set to be the winner of the OC Ballot for 2023. By the time this is posted, I have no idea if she won or not XD (She did end up winning AND she's had so much art!). Either way, It's always fun to make winter attires for characters and it was interesting to work on Claudia's. I struggled for a bit before finding a few figures that matched the attire I wanted for her. There are some elements of her attire carried through: Some designs, the gems, but for the most part I think it came out great and really stand out. I also did not mean to have a melancholic tone to the piece but the face I ended up going with oddly fit.
I'm also so happy with how the background came out. There are elements of the old artwork ""A Snowy Stroll for the Snow Princess"" that come through but look so much better. The shading and nightly tone is better, the glow of the city in the background oddly helps with the scene. I think the most joyful part of the background for me is the Cherry Blossom. In Lore, the Cherry Blossoms in Hylaeus City's park are magically enhanced centuries ago to withstand intense weather conditions and always bloom. Tho, the best part is the shading of the snow on the ground.
