Second of my trek ocs is Ashan-Tyr! Here's an excerpt from his artfight profile:

Ashan-Tyr is an Aurelian science officer, and previously a medical officer. He is incredibly book smart and great with the intricacies of anatomy, but becomes very squeamish at the sight of blood, to the point of light-headedness and even fainting. It is an embarrassing response from an officer who claims to have the blood of warriors coursing through him; which is why he switched to the science department, though he enjoys it less.

Long ago, the Skorr were a conquering race, able to breed vast armies in a short lot of time--fast and fierce warriors who were feared by many civilizations. Today, they loathe the thought of such unnecessary violence, and have long since become peaceful, and allied with the Federation. The Skorr and Aurelians both are known for being bookworms and historians, but Ashan-Tyr shudders at the thought of being a record-keeper; and while the confines of a starship do make him claustrophobic on occasion, he believes his best chance to meet the fiercest warriors is through travelling across the galaxy.

He is very energetic, and while he keeps a cool, collected cover, it's not difficult to set him off. He can, in fact, be near melodramatic in his reactions; he is strong-willed, and not afraid to voice his thoughts. He loves visiting the recreation areas on the ship, and especially enjoys sparring with crewmembers and exercising in the Holodeck.
