⬥ cillagon's Miscrits shenanigans! ⬥
Miscrits ramblings, headcanons, and adventures!
An hour or so ago in the Miscrits Discord server, a new teaser was released early!!
It's a short video in the point of view of someone walking in the ancient Temple, navigating the darkness with a flashlight. Then, the camera pans up to this marvelous scene (i mean look at it it's so EPIC!!! /pos):
Then the scene fades to black with the "Miscrits: World of Creatures" logo.
So. HMM. INTERESTING.
First, this essentially confirms that the new location for the third quarter of 2026 will be the Miscrian Temple, accessible via the Miscrian Jungle in Volcano Island.
Second, I'm kinda worried about the pacing of the release of updates in the next few months because this is also the theme of the 1st Make-a-Miscrit Contest... but I'll talk about that in another journal.
Third, that scene in the teaser (IT'S STILL SO GOOD AAAAAAAA) made me really curious, so I'm gonna try to pinpoint the Miscrits showcased in that scene!
So let's start with the five Miscrits in the foreground. I'll go through them from left to right:
-
The features are clearly Zimbabo to me. Funnily, in my "Temple speculations" note, I had Zimbabo there with a "possibly" side note because I wasn't entirely sure if it fits in the Temple, but I guess it'll be there soon!

-
Definitely Blobroller! It used to be obtainable in the new-gen game (in Miscrian Forest, the very first area of the game), but was removed at some point between January and March 2025 because the devs wanted to simplify Miscrit spawns in each area. I didn't really expect Blobroller to return as a Temple Miscrit, but I suppose it fits as a vampire pig in the darkness. Perhaps a matching golden coffin? xD

-
At first I thought it'll be a new Miscrit, but then I realized that it could be Posy? The head shape and colors do match...

-
Magixio without a doubt. What I find interesting is that the artist who painted this scene depicted well what the back of Magixio's mask would be, because Miscrits don't have back sprites in-game! At least we now (additionally) know that there's an actual head there behind this Miscrit's mask.

-
Not any of the legacy Miscrits! I believe it's that unnamed fireball Miscrit that an artist shared in the #art channel in the Miscrits Discord server, at a time before said artist got into the Miscrit Art Team. (oh, how i want to be part of the Art Team too...) Unfortunately I can't share the image here since it might count as a "leak", so you'll just have to Trust Me about this if you're not in that server.
Let's move on to that silhouette on the background of the scene. I'll put up that screenshot again so you don't have to scroll up again:
Based on the silhouette, it's highly likely that it's the Quetzalcoatl-inspired Miscrit (or one of its evolutions/stages) teased in the banner for the 1st Make-a-Miscrit contest (see image below), or possibly a boss form of it if it will be the Temple's Zone Boss. (If the latter, there's a possibility that it's the silhouette of its in-game sprite, given at how "flat" it looks in comparison to the rest of the elements in the scene.)
RyTheDrawer (the current Art Lead in the Miscrits Reborn team) sort of confirmed in a message in the Discord server that he designed the Miscrit in question, and that it's named Coatlus. Or at least "Coatlus" is the name of one of the evolutions (likely the very first/base one), because for some reason most of the community usually refers to Miscrits by their first evolution/stage regardless if fully evolved or not.*
On a related note, Coatlus (and/or its fully evolved form, or even its boss form I suppose?) could be the "ancient Miscrit that lies within" the Temple and which the Temple people served for many many years. Hence why I also speculated that it may have a boss form.
Transcript of the text in the image above:
Magicite Herald: See that temple behind me? My people have protected it since times immemorial, serving the ancient Miscrit that lies within. Many of us have given our lives to protect its sacred treasures from trespassers...
[Next]
(In its remaining dialogue, we learn that the Magicite Herald used to be among the Temple people, but Apollo Nox "showed her the truth" and so she has since served under him as a Magicite. Apollo Nox is basically the major Big Bad Evil Guy in the Miscrits game.)
So yeah, those are my speculations.
Among those, only Magixio truly existed in the Miscrian Temple in the original game, and the fireball Miscrit and Coatlus are new-gen Miscrits. The rest were unobtainable via the Temple, but through other means (mostly in Packs or the Shop lmao).
Pretty excited about what's in store for us in the Temple in the future! Perhaps some treasure-hunting of sorts and more lore! 👀
(Also Professor Klara Lutz shenanigans?)
* I refer to Miscrits by their evolution names for easy grasping of those in the Pokémon and Digimon fandoms, and because I want to. (Why don't majority of the Miscrit playerbase appreciate the names of the later evolutions?? /lh)
When I logged in earlier today to get the dailies, I was surprised to see a new NPC in Volcano Island Town!!
So I talked to her, and well, it is indeed Professor Klara Lutz! I did not expect "future" (as I've said in my previous journal post to be "too soon" xD
Her intro dialogue implies that she lost her glasses. And when I took that screenshot for a closer view of her sprite, you can see that her glasses are right there haha
Basically, her available dialogue tells that she is looking for "an ancient temple said to be found in the Miscrian Jungle, here on Volcano Island," rumored to contain treasures and ancient artifacts and lore and she's pretty much excited about it! (Might also mean she has newly arrived in Volcano Island.)
And, in addition to what the Temple Troubles blurb says, Prof. Klara Lutz did misplace her journal, and her dialogue even tells that is has more information of her research about the Miscrian Temple (which should be expected as a researcher).
Transcript of the dialogue above:
Prof. Klara Lutz: Oh sorry, I digress! Well, to find a way in I gathered all the information, lore, and rumors I could find- and, after years of research, I finally found a way in! I wrote it all down here, in my handy-dandy journal!
[Next]
Prof. Klara Lutz: ...Is what I would say if I had it here with me! See, I may or may not have... misplaced my journal, along with many years worth of invaluable research! Oopsie!
[Next]
And yes, we will indeed "give" the journal pages to her via the event UI. Which probably is equivalent to "talking to her" and exchanging rewards because of course going back-and-forth to her here would be pretty tedious (and be too different from the other similar limited-time-events where the rewards can be chosen in their respective event UI windows too). Genuinely, not a dealbreaker for me (I do love roleplaying and headcanoning in this game eheh)
Transcript of the dialogue above:
Prof. Klara Lutz: Check out the event menu to see what rewards are available for returning me journal pages!
[Thanks]

TEMPLE TROUBLES
Prof. Klara Lutz has misplaced the key to entering the ancient Temple- her journal! Recover Journal Pages from Wild and Arena battles and return them for different rewards
Let me just headcanon that, when Prof. Klara Lutz lost her journal, various elements of nature and Miscrits carried the pages away, scattering them all around the available locations in-game at the moment (for some reason), and the players can find some of the Journal Pages wherever they battle Miscrits (coincidentally, for some reason). But hey, at least we are helping the professor-explorer retrieve her important notes xP
Also a lil detail I've noticed: The mask on Prof. Klara Lutz's bag (see left) is a Magixio's mask! Magixio (see right) is a Miscrit that lives in the Miscrian Temple (even in the original/legacy game).

(sorry, i forgor to do two-column stuff in HTML besides tables... i forgot most of what i've learned about it from before the pandemic 😅)
From the dialogue with Prof. Klara Lutz, it heavily implies that she is not a native of Volcano Island, and hails from a different place in Miscria. As for where she obtained that Magixio mask, probably from a museum near her place of work or origin, or something she found during her research 🤔
Anyway, I'll be off during a warmup sketch by sketching Prof. Klara Lutz! (May or may not post it; we'll see.) Will be good practice before fully drawing my reference sheets of the four new (human) OCs I'll be including for this year's Art Fight since I've drawn mostly Miscrits this yesr so far xD
So the latest update in Miscrits (v2.12.0) came out almost 12 hours ago, and with it comes their once-a-month weeklong event where you can collect up to 350 of a themed currency by doing wild battles (one of the methods), and use this currency in exchange for rewards.
(The currency essentially serves the same purpose each time, but they have different "flavors" or "skins" every month [to make it more interesting, probably]. I don't have a problem with it though, and it's actually fun!)
This month this event is called "Temple Troubles", and the currency is "Journal Pages"! I think this is in celebration of the end of the Submission Period of the 1st Make-a-Miscrit Contest (technically sixth overall lol) last June 15.

CLANS ARE HERE! JOIN YOUR FRIENDS!
Team up with your friends and players worldwide using the new Clans feature! Establish your legacy and build the ultimate team!
Collect Journal Pages [small icon of a torn, stained page] in the monthly event TEMPLE TROUBLES and exchange them for exclusive rewards!
(also, uhhh i'm not really interested in the Clan system at the moment. i'm mostly a solitary player and i'd rather focus with my own shenanigans with my own headcanons and self-lore-building with my Miscrits rather than deal with potential toxic players all the time.)
At first I was like (in a lighthearted way) "Who the heck would scatter 350+ pages of journal all over Miscria?!?!?! Isn't that just too many to be scattered around?!?!"
Then several minutes later I went "maybe someone stole this journal and destroyed it and scattered it everywhere, but wait doing that for HUNDREDS of pages isn't feasible"
Then I went "wait no perhaps the journal is old and tattered that pages fall off easily" xD
Then I realized I actually haven't logged into the updated game HAHA so I finally went in to see actual in-game reason of the Journal Pages being all over the place xD
And we see that reason in the "Temple Troubles" event UI:

TEMPLE TROUBLES
Prof. Klara Lutz has misplaced the key to entering the ancient Temple- her journal! Recover Journal Pages from Wild and Arena battles and return them for different rewards
(by the way, i love the design of the UI here! and i'm 99% sure that the stylization of the event title is inspired by Indiana Jones xD )
And there we have it: a professor by the name of Klara Lutz (very telling i know) essentially lost her journal about the Miscrian Temple, and as a result all of the pages got here and there and everywhere.
Which means that yeah, maybe some rapscallion indeed scattered some of the pages around xD
(This is the Miscrian Temple, by the way.)
Speaking of, I'm really loving that the Miscrits Reborn dev team is putting more worldbuilding in the game compared to the original/legacy game!
Now we have a new upcoming NPC that we are almost certain will be released together with the Temple update. Also, the "Professor" title implies there may be organizations like academic or research institutions in Miscria (besides scientists, which are more or less confirmed in a few Miscripedia entries).
I'm looking forward to what Professor K. Lutz looks like, her partner Miscrit (if any), and more other cool lore involving her and the Temple! Might consider doing fan art of her. I just hope that her design isn't sexual or sexualized because I'm just tired of unnecessary sexualization everywhere...
Heya! Cille (@cillagon) here, and I've decided to put this subprofile on public for the first time! This will be dedicated to everything related to the game called Miscrits: World of Creatures, a turn-based creature-capturing game filled with fantastical creatures called "Miscrits." It's one of my closest special interests!!
(Well, maybe most Miscrits artworks won't be under this profile, since I keep them all on my main profile as a quick gallery view. Do check them out if you want!)
I'm actually still pretty shy to talk about too much about Miscrits to other people (since I'm not used to infodumping towards others unless I'm comfortable), but I just want this subprofile to be my safe space to talk about my favorite game. :>
(Even if I might not talk too much due to being busy, haha. But I'll at least try!)
