On the morning of December 6, I had my very first Discord voice call: a wonderful conversation with my sweet friend Jonelle, aka @Warm-Vibe, where she helped me through a rough patch with enlightening stories about family and friends to drive home her point that you never know who your real friends are until you get to know them more. She restored my Christmas spirit, reaffirmed my sanity, and gave me the hardest laugh I've had all year. Is that a real friend, or what?

Happy friendiversary, Nellie, and thank you for being my guiding light whenever darkness befalls me! I'm so proud of everything you've accomplished and all the ways you've grown as a person in the last decade, while never changing your core nature as one of the most genuinely insightful, pleasant, perseverant, considerate, pure-hearted, strong yet tender friends that God has gifted to me. DeviantArt seems to have lost some of its luster in recent times, but I hope to see you in my new art home soon, so we can continue growing together as besties over a long distance. In the meantime, be sure to roll up some snowballs, mix some hot cocoa, and sing your favorite seasonal tunes in your angelic voice.
