Lately I've seen some people reminiscing about the old internet, and most of them complain that they miss forums and how nowadays most people use discord, which is not a good substitute for forums. So I thought, "fuck it we ball! be the change you want to see in the world!"

I'm planning to host a forum dedicated to OC talk; basically a place where we can all get together and chat about our OCs, old school like.

I'd be hosting it on jcink, and for now I'd be the sole moderator, which I think would work since I expect the community to be small. I have experience setting up forums, participating in forums, as well as moderating discord servers, so I'm pretty confident I can set this thing up. And if the community gets bigger, I can always have people apply to help me moderate it if they'd be interested.

The only thing I need is interest, which is why I made this journal. I figured that if anyone would be interested in such a thing, it would be the people of sheezy. I'm also probably gonna share this on tumblr, and if you have a friend you think would be interested, feel free to tell them about this.

The forum would be centered around OC talk, but not limited to it. I'm thinking of including categories for:

• Writing & Worldbuilding;
• Art sharing & discussion;
• Forum games;
• Roleplay talk;
• Gaming discussion;
• Tutorials & Resources;
• A general off topic chat.
  I'd also include a section for suggestions

Anyway that's all I have for now! If you'd be interested in something like that then please let me know, and keep an eye out for my next journal. If I decide that there's enough interest I'll make another journal with a link to the forum.

I'm not expecting a huge amount of people to respond to this, but just enough to know that the forum will actually be used. Even if there's only like 5 members, if all 5 of those members are active then I'll be happy. (And don't worry, I have some ideas for "ice breaker" threads to make people feel more welcome)

For the name, I'm thinking of calling it Crimson Haven since that was the name of a website I had a while ago, and I really like this name so I would love a reason to use it again. But! I'm open to suggestions for that as well.
