Digital art OR traditional art?

Digital. Sometimes I feel bad for not drawing enough traditional art but I just really like computer

Original concepts/characters OR fanart/canon characters?

Original concepts. I became kind of tired of fandom shenanigans after seeing how people can get so entitled over their own interpretations of the characters, to the point where the fanon interpretation has almost no resemblance to the actual canon. I very much dislike the attitude that some people have of "throw everything in the canon away," like at this point, why not just create your own OCs??

Original fiction OR fanfiction?

Original fiction, for the same reasons as above. When I get the urge to write fanfiction it means I am extremely interested in a particular character, which doesn't happen often (it's been happening lately with Kazuma Asogi from The Great Ace Attorney..)

Sketch OR lineart?

In terms of what I like to work on more, lineart. I can just zone out and make things as detailed as I can, and for me that's when the drawing really starts to come together.

Coloring OR shading?

Shading, for a similar reason as above. I like to think of coloring as the "sketch" phase for the shading.

Handwritten signature OR text signature?

Handwritten! I just think they look neat.

Shrink canvas OR add a filter before posting?

I always shrink my images before posting, you won't catch me posting anything with over 1 MB in size.

Messy art OR clean art?

Messy art honestly... I find it very charming, plus I think perfectionism can ruin an art piece tbh

Bright colors OR muted colors?

Bright colors for the most part!

Warm colors OR cold colors?

This is a tough, but I have a preference for warm colors. By a very small margin though!

Graphics tablet with screen OR no screen?

Screen. Getting a Huion Kamvas changed my life...

Humans OR nonhumans?

Ouhgh, another tough one. I'm gonna assume that by "humans" this actually means "humanoids," and then I'll pick humanoids. But I do love all sorts of critters :3

Fur OR scales?

Scales!

Edgy characters OR wholesome characters?

Edgy, with just a touch of wholesomeness.

High-poly models OR low-poly models?

I'm not sure how to answer this, because I don't think there's a consensus on what counts as high poly vs low poly. Some people think that just because a character has chibi proportions, it counts as low poly (although I'm not sure if that's the case anymore.) Like seriously, one time I saw a tutorial on hair for low poly characters, but the character in question must have had like thousands of polygons.

I would say my favorite types of 3d models are the ones similar to early PS2 games. They are detailed enough to not be considered low-poly anymore, but they're not as detailed as what you see in modern games.

Music OR podcasts while drawing?

I prefer to listen to podcasts in order to "lock in" and fully focus. Or better yet, talking with friends!
