The plot of I Hope So follows Hope, a disabled lioness growing up in family that is frequently terrorised by her abusive father, Jasper. Due to being born with just three legs, Hope is often the target of Jasper and his complacent mate, Vicious, who is also her mother. Her only ally within the pride is her kindly aunt, Clever. That is until she meets Storm, a cub who lives outside of the confines of pride life as a "Traveller". The two cubs quickly become friends but their friendship is soon put to a stop due to their opposing cultures. They are soon reunited as young adults and their relationship blossoms into something more. Eventually, certain events result in Hope leaving with Storm and her younger sister, Adamant, leading them on a journey that teaches the values of found family and retaining individuality.

This comic is based on the series, My Pride. It started out as an AU idea where we were brainstorming our own ideas for how we personally wanted the show to turn out and combining characters together and re-writing them. Rather than just lifting somebody's idea and characters entirely, we decided to build up some characters (some of which are based on our own OCs) from the ground upwards and simply use MP's plot as a baseline.
