this was for a prompt from a beatles drawtober, the prompt was “two of us” which is one of my favorite beatles songs. i wanted to do something a little different than just drawing john and paul singing that song in the let it be sessions or something like that, so i decided to do this. this is based on Paul McCartneys recent tours when he plays I’ve Got a Feeling, when it gets to john’s part, he has John from the rooftop concert on the big screen, and it’s just his voice so the rest of the band and him can still play. so it’s almost like he’s singing with them. and every time, paul just turns and watched his old friend on the screen as he plays before the duet part of the song comes. it’s really touching and sad so i drew this for that. i think the lyrics for Two of Us are really. fitting here, as they’re very fitting for John and Paul’s relationship in general.
