Species 8-12 hell yeah.

The veined octopus (Amphioctopus marginatus) is on the smaller side for octofolk. They inhabit mainly tropical rainforests in the Southern Central continent. They are generally smaller, weaker and less adept at camouflage than other octofolk - instead getting by with smarts and cunning. The veined octopus is generally known as a pioneer of tool use and crafting, and crafting and wearing of clothing and armor by the species predates possibly even inkfolk sapience.

The blue-lined cuttlefish (Acanthosepion pharaonis) is a medium-large cuttlefish species. It is quite widespread in the Southern Central continent, appearing in both the tropical rainforests as well as the arid regions. Like most other cuttlefish, it has impressive color displays that play a big part in self-expression and communication. The species is notably very flexible in circadian rhythm.

The sepia (Sepia officinalis), also known as the common cuttlefish, is the most widespread species of cuttlefish. They are quite easily distinguished by their sepia-tone (although still varied) coloration and bold, dark stripe patterns. It is the northernmost cuttlefish species and also the smallest, originating from the Northern Central continent, but having an extremely wide range from temperate to subtropical or even tropical climates.

The bigfin octopus (Cirroteuthis sp.) is one of the few finned inkfolk. They are morphologically quite different from other inkfolk, with a lack of a tentacle crown, large fins (unusual for an octopod), cirri and relatively poor eyesight. They mainly inhabit deserts and arid regions where they are crepuscular or nocturnal scavengers. With no chromatophores or ink sacs, they have very low energy needs compared to other inkfolk.
