I drew this a while back for Fanart Friday but didnt get to finish it... AND IT WAS BOTHERING ME!

It's kinda funny, I will start by saying this:

I AM AN ISEKAI HATER!

That's right. I am sick up to my head of Isekais. From the boring main character, to the stupid harem tropes and fanservices, to the OP bs and generic fantasy worlds, isekais are ruining the European Medieval Fantasy anime IMO.

MOST ISEKAIS DON'T EVEN NEED TO BE ISEKAIS!

That being said...

I fuckin love The Greatest Estate Developer. I fully recommend it. It is my one exception.

I have several reasons why I love it, but most are listed above (outside of kinda the generic fantasy world, but even then TGED has some unique takes on some fantasy tropes, LIKE BEEFY MERMAIDS!).

And, without spoiling, the fact that the main is from another world IS ACTUALLY REALLY RELEVANT FOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND PLOT!

Lloyd is one of my favorite protagonists and Javier himself is also excellent.

Stories like these make me realize I am a major fan of writing and consuming stories that have two main characters (or at least an extremely prevalent deuteragonist) because you can see the main character from multiple facets and it avoids the fatigue of having to follow around one dude, while also avoiding getting overwhelmed by a massive cast.

So yeah. Go read it! Art is stellar too.
