I'll possibly add a short story or something to this later. Basic goings on is Prince Azrael (the purple one) is very much in love with Prince Carlos' (the pink one) sister, Crown Princess Rosie, but that's a big no-no. Azrael is a Spade and Carlos and Rosie are Hearts, and that's just not heard of. Carlos is under the impression that Azrael has used his dark magic to brainwash Rosie, and the most fitting punishment that Carlos can think of is for Azrael to become a demonic pet to the royal Heart family.

See; Hearts can manipulate the emotions of those around them, and Spades don't deal well with emotions. Spades can lose themselves to such things and become single-minded, barely sentient beasts.

That's what Carlos wants for Azrael.
