Made this drawing of my persona Esor (he/they, design edited to better fit my body type, hair length, and the colors I'd like to dye my hair) wearing a half-binder to celebrate me getting my first binders from my local pride center back in October! Got measured there and everything! My eldest sister helped with the measurements and they had the right size binders there! And they fit PERFECTLY!!
Been taking a break from wearing binders lately because of my new job (an after-school cleaner at a local elementary school) and because my body needs an extended break from it, too. To all of my transmasc/AFAB siblings out there who are considering binding, if your ribs start hurting while wearing a binder, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND TAKE A BREAK!! I know dysphoria is a bitch, but if you don't take care of your body, you won't be able to get top surgery in the future because your ribs will be misshapen in a bad way! Those of us who have more experience with chest binding will GLADLY help you navigate this!
Also, the Underworks binders tend to be sized pretty small, even with the right measurements, so I do want my fellow fat transmasc/AFAB people to be aware of that! They do have more sizes that gc2b and other gender-affirming clothing stores, but keep this in mind!!
