Blah, blah, social media sucks and is bad, blah, blah. (I had a big opening explaining this, but I feel like we all innately understand if we're on a site like this).

For years now I've been hoping that one of the many sites that (from my pov) spring up out of no where will "click" with me, and so far that hasn't happened (aside from neocities! which is great. but also it requires a lot of work [this is me admitting that i redo my site too often 🙃]).

Some noteworthy cases of other sites not "clicking" with me (this is no disrespect to any of these sites, more a internal reflection on what hasn't worked for ME specifically):

• Artfol didn't because it was mobile only (at the time I signed up at least), and I'm a desktop computer girlie. Even if it did come out with a desktop version, idk the vibes weren't right for me 😭 that might sound silly and insignificant but that really was it.
• I keep wanting toyhouse to click with me? And hopefully sometime it will. But somehow it just doesn't in spite of my love for having and seeing OCs. I genuinely don't know why it doesn't, it might be a bunch of things combined.
• Even back when I learned of artstation, I was hoping to have it "click", but obviously we know how that went (🤢)
• All other sites that I've tried are more general "social media" kinds of sites, as opposed to art specific ones (which I have the most interest in anyways to begin with)

I could go on about things that make me hopeful about this site, but I'll keep my mouth closed and wait to see how things go and let my later reaction speak for itself.

Right now though, I'm hopeful! 💐 Hopeful that this will be a fun site to be on, share art with as minimal fear as can exist with sharing a piece of your soul with the public, that my friends and peers will join and I can follow them here too, that I'd make new friends and find new artists, and that all in all it just goes well.

On art, I'm trying to figure out whether or not I want to upload some of my back catalogue, or just publish new art as I make it. I'm leaning towards the latter, but even if I choose the former I would only upload my most recent "back catalogue". The rest is on my site anyways.
