'Mutter' has led a traumatic life, where he witnessed maddening events that he couldn't control or understand, and they left him a nervous, chaotic wreck, afraid of others and on the edge of insanity s well as an outcast on his world.

Rura has lived an adventurous life, with powers and strength far beyond humans, but her world is at war and she hasn't set foot on it for years, along with most of her people. But, she's not easily discouraged.

When the two find each other by accident, Rura's warm energy and big heart make her want to protect him from his fears and give him mental and emotional peace. And her strength and gentleness helps Mutter feel safe. They form a strong bond, first of friendship, then of something deeper.

She brings him slowly out of his terrified shell and he gives her a purpose for her powers, by offering him protection and healing.
