The colored version of the line drawing. A watercolor painting with light pencil outlines visible. The colors are mostly pastels. The fox girl is bright red-orange with cream-colored muzzle, neck, and chest. She wears a bluish gray jacket over a red tee shirt and tan jeans. Her gloves are the same red as her shirt, and her boots are blue and gray. The cityscape seen through the window behind her is in various shades of purple. The texture of the watercolor paper is extremely evident.
Overall, I'm not really happy with the colors, which are washed-out enough that it's kind of hard to see. Part of that is the scan; it's noticeably more saturated in person. But there's still not nearly enough contrast in some parts of it. the truth is I flat-out did not use enough paint.
But in fairness, this was mostly an experiment, just like the lineart version was for the blue pencil. This was my first time working with the watercolor palette, and I still think it's not bad for a first attempt.
Sadly, it's also my last attempt to date, as well as the last time I did anything with this character that I thought was worth posting. Hopefully I can come back to her once I get some progress made on my other ongoing projects.
