The colored version of the previous drawing of Viola leaping at the viewer, slashing with her magically-enhanced claws. She is weakly lit from above, as if by moonlight, with shadows and the occasional highlight rendered as flat, cel-style shading. In the low light, her fur appears a medium brownish tan. Her tunic is beige, and her trousers, belt, and shoes are brown.
Viola's eyes and hands glow a purplish near-white, their outlines bright purple, and the magic effect surrounding them a lilac or lavender purple. The magic casts a pale light on Viola's arm and around her eyes, as well as a glint on the metal of her belt. The background is a gradient from a medium grayish purple to a darker, more saturated, brownish purple.
I'm generally happy with this piece, and with how quickly I could get a pleasing result. Color really livened up the drawing. I'm not thrilled with the highlights cast by the magic flames, which took most of my time and never did come out right.
Since the process made me pay more attention to the drawing, it helped me work out what wasn't working about it. The biggest issue is the shoulder, which seems to be relatively straight with her arm just pointed forward. She should be rolling the whole shoulder forward to put more force into the attack.
And with that, Sheezy is officially caught up with my personal site's gallery and my gallery on the site that likes the llamas (and also NFTs and AI). I do have a few more things to share, including the first (and so far only) page of the comic that Viola stars in. Once that's done, I'll have to get to work on some of the stuff I've finished but not yet posted.
