Another D&D character for my uni's D&D guild's 2022 Westmarch campaign.
Started making this character when the guild announced that they're giving players an option to play an additional character.
Another warforged bard, but they're a whispers bard instead of glamour bard; and he's an automaton from a defunct theatre.
I was listening to Malice Mizer a lot at the time, especially the Klaha era.
The top-half of their head is based on Winslow's helmet from the 1974 film, Phantom Of The Paradise, by Brian de Palma.
Haven't seen the film at the time until the following year, only screenshots on Pinterest.
Made a few changes/trimmed out a few things and made it a built-in part of the automaton's face instead of a helmet.
The idea that I have for him was that they're an opera singing automaton that was initially sent for disposal after the theatre he lived/worked in got shut down and taken over by new management, who has no interest in elaborate puppet shows.
However, due to a shipment error, Kotya was sent somewhere else instead of disposal. And thus, they used this as an opportunity to start from scratch and venture forth as an adventurer to make a name for himself.
To be honest, as much as I like Kotya's design and had fun playing as them during sessions, I kept writing myself into a corner when doing in-text roleplay as Kotya.
I would most likely going to have to reboot this character (no pun intended) if I'm considering playing as them again.
