Stellatus Computius, the main character in my story, is about 25 tempuses (Martian years) old here and had recently made mech fighting as a sport real, which made him extremely rich. He is a great inventor who later goes on to invent the hyperdrive and strive for immortality. The actual story starts considerably later in his life, but this is the time period he most likes to look back on since it was when he was happiest. He is a generally eccentric inventor who is a bit too blunt about things to easily maintain friendships with most other Okcilians and often fails to pick up on social queues until a little bit before those he is talking to would otherwise go off on him, which he can tell, just like anyone else, by the color the structure attaching their tentacles are glowing. Here, it is yellow, meaning he is happy. He is generally much more interested in messing around at home and inventing whatever he feels like he needs or wants to have at that time and then selling patents to those things than socializing with most Okcilians. He is still quite capable of interacting with his friends and genuinely does care about them and will even invent stuff for them and is generally quite dependable.
