Before I go to bed I decided to finish a surprise commission by an anon user on Sheezyart. They gave me a weird commission request to draw Pharaoh Cleopatra VII how I would view her.

A very, VERY weird request, but I was up for the challenge. This is a topic that really interests me and I just went all out on this.

Contrary to popular belief, Cleopatra was NOT EGYPTIAN, she was Greek. Her family, the Ptolemy Family were the last rulers of Egypt and they were Greek. So, I figured Cleopatra would've worn Greek style clothing daily and would only wear Egyptian style clothing for ceremonies, etc.

I decided to give her a purple chiton, red lipstick and nail polish, and turquoise eyeshadow, pale face powder. I also added a unibrow which was a symbol of beauty for Hellenistic women during that time. Cleopatra may or may not have had a real unibrow, but Greek women would've created false unibrows to line their eyebrows together, having a unibrow was a sign of intelligence.

Anyway, I'm going on. Here is my take on Cleopatra as the Commissioner requested. You know who you are, I hope this is up to your standards. ;)
