Other Otacaians have evolved genetic adaptations to their local environments. The Bannarai, who can use Cryokinesis are able to survive in extremely cold environments. They are slow to develop frostbite than other Otacaians, or Humans for that matter, and are able to use their limbs in subzero temperatures much longer than others. This is because they have a higher metabolic rate which increases heat production throughout their entire bodies.

In this drawing, Suri, Zia, and Russell are on a mission and they ran into a surprise blizzard. Russell and Zia are suffering here while Suri isn't the least bit bothered. Lucky her.
