As stated in my previous journal, I won't be attending art fight this year. This month has been pretty hectic and I haven't had the time nor the energy to work on proper refs for my characters. It's a little disappointing because I do see a lot of cool creators joining this year, and I have had sparks of fomo that made me wish I could join. But the reality is that this July and the coming months will actually rev up in in-life activity, and I won't have time to make as much art or write until things settle down. Oh well, there's always next time.

As if to drive home the point my apple pencil broke recently. There were a number of small irritating things happening to me lately in addition to the more important stuff going on in my life right now, it's as if the universe is testing me at the moment lol

That said, in order to keep my account from being well, dead lol, I'm considering posting the rest of my backlog from my now defunct Tumblr and other places in the meantime. I was originally planning on waiting until alt text gets added in the rebuild so I can protect my nightshaded pieces on here, though truth be told this site has been pretty well managed and moderated, and with that I should be good enough with the protections I already have in place for said artwork. I can also add the alt text when that feature becomes available later on, so it would be just fine.

I've also started work on a pride drawing, picking away at it with the little time I had throughout the month until my pencil inevitably broke about a week ago haha.. At this rate I won't be able to post it until July, but better late than never I suppose ^^;
