The original version of this form of Richard was actuality a gijinka! I wounded up reusing this design again for the gym leader outfit due to it matching pretty well (and I thought gijinkas were going to be a one-off thing.. who would have thought x3)

Unlike Jac and the others, Richard remembers being a regular human and is trying to find a way to return back to his own world. He's not too fond of this "being a Pokémon" thing, and refuses to use moves that are special attacks as a result. He is quite powerful when he needs to be however, his Aerial Ace felling many opponents in a single strike. And yes, he leveled up a lot to protect himself x3
