Redesign 2/6 of my main story cast, this time it's Rekloi.

You can check the old designs on toyhouse, if you'd like context for the next part.

Unlike Daas, this redesign ended up being basically a complete visual overhaul. I feel like Rekloi's design specifically has been getting more and more out of character, and this was my attempt to veer it back in. The tl;dr of what was causing the issue is that Rekloi's overall personality is quite different to how she acts in-universe, and lately I've prioritized depicting the latter over the former. Like, her previous design is something I can picture her wearing in certain contexts, but it doesn't give an accurate impression of her character.

The main contributing factor to that was the color palette, namely the inclusion of brown. I decided to first add it when I gave her a tail, 'cause antelopes are brown and all, but I realize now it made her palette way too warm, when cool colors fit her better. So in the redesign I made the browns a lot darker and more desaturated. I also generally increased the amount of dark colors in the design. Other than being too warm, her palette was also a bit too colorful, when Rekloi herself is slightly more of a serious character. I didn't necessarily make the colors less saturated (I could never), but I did reduce the number of them, and relegated the saturated ones to accents.
As for the rest of the design, it didn't change nearly as much. Her silhouette is different because the previous one was somehow both too preppy and not formal-looking enough, but the idea of the outfit's generally the same. I mainly just added a jacket and got rid of the patterns.
