Outfit concept for Tintin disguised as a mariner stewardess, from my 2023 pastiche edit of Herge's The Broken Ear.
In the original BD, the extended joke is how the villains are expecting to find Tintin dressed as any one of the small White men on their ship, only for Tintin to go under their radar because he was dressed in blackface. The goal with this edit was to keep the original joke intact (the villains were looking for a small man; Tintin uses a disguise they never expected) but remove the upsetting imagery. I had a bit of fun researching stewardess-at-sea uniforms of the 1930s-1940s.
