These were some of my first attempts at this pattern. As well is my first attempt to play around with the eyes and make them different. I tried a “similar” pattern from a different crocheter but the way the pattern was written was extremely confusing to me, since I prefer using stitch markers to mark rounds (similar in quotes because the product looked similar but the path to get there was remarkably different).
Distractions and overthinking are a challenge at times, so I end up counting the stitch twice or forgetting my last count. Once is fine, but after forgetting which stitch or re-counting while counting aloud a few times over, I tend to end up with 1-7 extra stitches than the pattern called for for each round. With single crochets, that’s totally fine, but if I forgot or miscounted where I put the invisible increases and decreases, that’s where the chaos starts.
