so the logic I use for gene inheritance in this world is that pokemon inherit small traits from their father, but always strongly resemble the original species of the mother. Only the genes of the mothers species, appearance wise, is passed down from the previous generation. This ensures the designs don’t get overly complicated the further you go down by generation.
