Everybody's been giving Clippy a lot of love lately, which is all well and good (yes, I know the reasons why behind it, more on that in a moment), but there were other Office Assistants you could use too, and I think they deserve a bit of love too.

So here's some doodles of F1, the Office Assistant I'd always preferred to use whenever I used Microsoft Office back in the day, which at the time would've been when I was using the school's computer lab back in elementary school. Admittedly never actually used him as Microsoft intended (but then who did, amirite?) but I always liked to have him idling in the corner nonetheless, watching for the fun little animations he'd do, and so he was the one I have always remembered the best.

And of course, aware of the reasons for the Clippy-revival, I made sure to include a show of support for that cause as well. I think this is the first time I've ever actually shown my stance on generative AI directly within my art. I've made passing comments and status posts about it, but I'd for the most part left it out of my art up to now, for a couple of reasons, but mostly because while I'm not a fan of generative AI, I'm not for a TOTAL ban on the thing, as I recognize it does have a few valid applications where it'd indeed be useful.

It's just mostly been getting used everywhere BUT in those few applications, and that's the part I'm not for. ;)
