That stupid 8hr cooldown and the literal quicktime event of a signup period back then made me hate this place a bit which led me to creating and coping with a Newgrounds account. Now I barely use the latter since it makes me feel small & my art seem bland as hell- but haven't scrapped it yet, sometimes it's fun to browse.
The moment my sheezy registration went through, I was so ecstatic I got lightheaded for a couple days.
Thank you to everyone appreciating the art I've tossed into this site. Really ain't much, but it's honest work.

It's funny how some artists within my lifetime online used to be my heroes/the reason I started art until they stopped fitting that bill or I'm not as enthusiastic about them as I once was. It's hard to admit, but I've stopped looking for people to look up to, and so far it's boiled down to just "if I like your work enough, I'll make a collection for it-- heck maybe I'll shout you out if something I created was made with the thought of your own art." OR maybe if it gets me hyped like a monkey in the middle of a boring day and I get noise complaints celebrating your work, then that's the closest amount of childhood-level, parasocial joy I can ever provide to some stranger's artistic expression.
No friggin way thank you to whomever did that! I think it's @/DaxDoodles (idek if functioning usertags are a thing here now), but hot DAMN am I grateful! That piece was the first thing I posted here and not too long ago edited with a filtered version that I liked way more.
I'm absolutely stoked as it's really made my night. Never thought anyone would enjoy it that much since for the longest time I'd felt that my art hasn't been cut out for this site, even if I've had folks complimenting it. Mostly drab, not much vibrance, and trying a lil hard to be raw or spooky, but that's... the best I've done as of late, and I don't usually get to draw at a reasonable hour.
I hope y'all like the next one I have stocked though- it's still about them XD

I used to see this show advertised all the time on the AXN channel back then, even (probably) had a shitty localized dub on a native variety tv channel but I might be misremembering things.
Really could've taken a better chance with this than Dexter last year but that one was fun till it wasn't agh (dropped it at S5EP01).
