First soari introduction! Behold, my cringe little freak! (affectionately)

Fun fact: Soari and subette are both results of a random character geenrator me and a worldbuilding buddy made on the back of our math notebook back in 2012. Or more precisely, JK and Evirune are the results, and everything started falling into place around them from there. I want my subette to get detailed ref sheets like this too, but I can only work on one thing at a time 💦

The soari live mostly outside human and subette societies, and spend most of their time in gryphon form, which they consider to be their natural state. Humanoid form is more of a convenient variation than a genuine way of being, at least for most of them. They don't exactly blend in with the other races either, due to regularly being over 2 meters tall with their pointy ears, noticeable talons and strange, anachronistic outfits.

The soari are very individualistic and don't form familial bonds, instead running their society on complex "social family" system where individuals care for other members in a picky, competitive manner. One's closest associates determine their standing and influence after all, so it matters who you take in and who you extend your helping hand to.

Janakurael, or JK for short (the young soari prefer nicknames while the elders despise them), is very used to others competing for her attention. She's kind of an arrogant scumbag, and in the very annoying sense where you can tell she's often wrong about things and doesn't know how the world works, but still insists she's perfect in every conceivable way. You'll get to see her friends Kwiva and Duri in due time, but before them I have another scumbag to introduce.
