Here again we continue the coverage of jawlessfish and again we see some more conodonts. Luckily we have reached the final major grouping of them, the Prioniodontida. Often called the "complex Conodonts" for them possessing the most derived and complex tooth structure of the clade. Which admittedly is not the most visible trait when alive. They are divided into two major orders, the Prioniodinina and Ozarkodinida. But before we get to those there are two basal families that do not fall into either, the first and most basal of these are the subject of this image, the Paracordylodontidae.
These guys lived during the Ordovician and are important for serving as a link between the earlier groups we've illustrated and the later ones we shall see soon.
