And at last, we see the ghosts! We went all out trying to make them look as bizarre as we could- we were mostly inspired by two Fleischer cartoons- Swing You Sinners! from 1930 , and the Betty Boop cartoon Is My Palm Read from 1933.
The former, Swing You Sinners, is up there among the top five most freaky animated cartoons ever.

The singer is kind of a amalgam of various actresses, but she's mostly like the relatively obscure singer Belle Baker, while her back-up singers are kinda like vampire Mr. Peanuts.
The song "Jazz Baby" is an extremely old one (circa 1916, and therefore public domain) and seemed to fit the playful nature of these ghosts.

Now, the way I see it, this is a party hosted by the singer, who owns the mansion and had this speakeasy built in the back (I recently learned that a rich heiress in New York actually did hide a speakeasy behind a bookcase, so I wasn't far from the mark), and everyone died only a couple years ago. They could've died from three things:
-Poisonous bathtub gin
-An overzealous police raid
-Or violence from rival bootleggers.

The only problem with this page is that I made my worst mistake- the musicians on stage are much, much smaller in comparison to everyone else. I completely lost track of the relative sizes of everyone.
I figure I'll fix it eventually, but it won't be easy.
