Kyynarr is home to four native sophont species, taa, anii, and vyreen.

Taa are a heavily derived species of pterosaur, called dragons. Taa walk bipedally on their wings, unlike any other pterosaur before them. They can fly long distances for days on end, and like most other dragons, are capable of spitting a highly caustic bile, which explodes under extreme force.

Anii are medium sized dromaeosaur dinosaurs, called cockatrices. Anii use their muscular tails to paddle through the water while swimming, and in a pinch, clobber any would-be predators over the head. They are venomous like all other cockatrices, injecting a powerful myotoxin through specialized fangs in the back of their mouth.

Vyreen are the largest, and oldest sophont species on Kyynarr, having existed for around five or four million years. They are also the strangest, being HEAVILY derived dragons, which have become flightless and lost the ability to spit bile. They are highly respected and feared, for good reason, as despite their lack of explosive bile, they are still incredibly strong, and formidable predators.

And, of course, humans... although, they don't exist as they do, back here on Earth...
